Join Jessi from Cresset Farm, Rachel Cadwallader-Staub and Susie Marchand of Shelburne Farms, and Bridget Brownell of The Farm st Lee Martinez Park for a two-day workshop at The Farm at Lee Martinez Park on March 28 and 29 from 8:30 am to 4:00 pm. This weekend workshop is for farmers, ranchers and teachers looking to improve current programming or explore opportunities for farm-based education.
Spend the weekend in activity based learning, discussion and exploration, presented by seasoned farm-based educators from Vermont and Colorado. Experience easy and fun ways to develop agricultural education programs with engaging kid-tested, educator approved activities from Shelburne Farms’ publications Project Seasons and Cultivating Joy and Wonder. There will also be discussions on engaging school groups, camp participants and farm visitors.
Topics cs include creating a safe learning environment on your farm, developing programs, teaching on a bio-dynamic farm, resource sharing and networking among participants.
